A Taste of the Past in Modern Comfort

An intimate, elegantly cozy bed and breakfast that is a true living history experience.

The Inn, grounds, and museum are alive with the history of the host’s pioneer family.

Grand Oaks, located in the oak-studded rolling Sierra foothills, is reminiscent of a Currier and Ives print. The Architecture and lushly landscaped grounds shaded by ancient blue oak trees evoke the feeling of an English Country inn. This 1,100 acre estate sits quietly in the middle of California’s booming wine country at the gateway to the Mother Lode. Adding to the tranquil feeling is the fact that since the Grand Oaks has only five guest rooms you do not experience the bustling hurried pace of a hotel or a larger busy inn.

The upper story of the inn is dedicated to the guests’ comfort. Guests have their own keyed entrance so that may come and go as they please. It features a common living room/hospitality area. Each room is richly and tastefully appointed with a distinctive motif that features priceless family heirlooms. Luxurious linens and cozy robes are just a part of the pampered feeling you will experience.

The sumptuous gourmet breakfasts are unforgettable. Beautifully presented on heirlooms from the innkeepers’ families, they feature fresh produce from the inn garden and orchard or from local area.
